Cuckoo for KookaBurra

by OLIVIA DEGAN

KookaBurra Coffee, a small business located in Rockville Centre, is undoubtedly one of the best coffee shops on the South Shore of Nassau County. Despite the fact that it’s a cash-only establishment (heads up!), newcomers always find their way back to this spot. The friendly and personable staff are surprisingly accommodating and can make a wide variety of coffees and other drinks, like KookaBurra’s own Lavender Lemonade. There’s a new coffee roast every week, as well as the house light, medium, and dark roasts, which are always available. The staff also really gets to know frequent customers and sometimes offers benefits for regular customers; however, anyone who visits is likely to have a great experience. One of the best programs that KookaBurra has to offer is the coffee punch-card. After buying eight coffees, the ninth one is free, and unlike other coffee places, this is available for everyone.

Additionally, the baked goods and breakfast foods from this small shop are always super fresh; they’re either homemade or straight from Morrison’s Bakery. Some personal favorites include the cinnamon buns, the Irish soda bread scones, and their vast array of muffins.  KookaBurra has also recently expanded its menu to include more breakfast options such as egg frittatas and breakfast tacos.  Personally,  KookaBurra has become a favorite place to hang out with friends, do some homework, or listen to music accompanied by an outstanding cup of coffee. Go check it out!
