Senior Spotlight: Ben Murasso

Ben Murasso is one of the most well-liked students at Oceanside High School, winning the superlative for “best personality” for the past three years and being named this year’s Homecoming Prince. Ben devotes a large majority of his time to Thespian Troupe 132. He is currently the vice- president of the troupe and was recently elected the director of this year’s road show, Beauty and the Beast, which will be performed on January 8th and 9th.  Ben has been involved in nearly every possible production since his freshman year, performing in a multitude of leading roles. He is currently starring in California Suite as Marvin Michaels, which will be performed on November 20th and 21st.

Ben hopes to further hone his talents in college by majoring in musical theater. He will surely spend his future sharing his talent and drive with others on the stage. As someone who has had the pleasure to be not only his peer but his friend, I can safely say that Ben’s character is as exceptional as his talent. His work to create an inclusive environment in our theater department for students of all ages has left a substantial impact on our theater department and our school.
