The New York Knicks have finally done it. After 27 years, the Knicks reached the big stage after sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks will face off against the San Antonio Spurs after the Spurs beat the OKC Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. The first game of the NBA Finals is tonight when the Spurs host the Knicks in San Antonio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Knicks are primed to win their first championship in over fifty years led by conference finals MVP Jalen Brunson who is back with Karl Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges. The Knicks also come into this series with a stacked bench led by Landry Shamet. Shamet has been playing really well coming off the bench scoring 14 and 16 in the last two games. Brunson, who has been a huge part of this team\u2019s success, averaged 25.5 points per game in the conference finals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Spurs have done what many thought to be impossible, knocking out two time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the OKC Thunder. Led by the Alien himself, Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs have been playing insanely well. The Spurs play a tough and physical game which will be a good match up for the Knicks. The Spurs are a very well balanced team just like the Knicks are. The Knicks, however, play at a fast pace and, when they get hot, it’s hard to stop them. The question for the Knicks will be are they able to stop Victor Wembanyama?
