Taylor Swift’s Eras tour will be making a three night stop at MetLife Stadium on Memorial Day Weekend. This is not just your average concert – it is an EVENT! Taylor is playing 3 1/2 hour sets to packed stadiums. In order to maximize your enjoyment at the concert, we here at the Sider Press have created a list of helpful tips for the day:
Do’s:
- Show up about two hours before the show.
- Take public transportation.
- If you plan on bringing a bag, make sure it is clear in order to shorten your wait on security lines.
- Wear comfortable shoes – the show is over three hours long and you want to be comfortable throughout the show.
- Use the merch booths inside of the stadium to skip long lines outside of the stadium.
- Go to the bathroom at least 30 minutes before the show starts so you don’t miss the start of the show.
- Be in your seat no later than 7:40. Taylor comes on at 8:00 or even a little earlier.
- If you want to see the openers, be there by 6. The openers go on at 6:30.
- Make sure you eat a good meal before the show – stadium food is expensive and not very good.
- Pack ear plugs. Stadium speakers are insanely loud and many people have trouble hearing up to 30 minutes after the show.
- Bring a portable charger! You don’t want your phone dying during the concert. You want to be able to take pics and vids throughout the entirety of the show.
Don’ts:
- Don’t wait on the merch line OUTSIDE of the venue. Although the merch truck is cute, the long lines definitely are not.
- Don’t rely on Ubers. The prices will most definitely increase as many people are trying to find an Uber after the show.
- Make sure not to faint when Taylor walks out onto the stage!
- Don’t bring food or water into the stadium unless you have a doctor’s note!
- Don’t be shy – enjoy yourself! For many, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so make the most of it!
