The Grammys took place on Sunday, February 2nd. In case you missed it, here are the highlights from the night.
Kendrick Lamar had a big night and won 5 awards, all for his diss track named “Not Like Us” that he made about Drake. “Not Like Us” won “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Best Rap Performance”, “Best Rap Song”, and “Best Music Video”.
Sabrina Carpenter also won her first ever Grammy awards. This includes “Best Pop Solo Performance” for her song “Espresso” and “Best Pop Album” for her album “Short and Sweet,”. Also, Beyoncé’s new album “Cowboy Carter” took home “Album of the Year” and “Best Country Album”.
Chappell Roan also took home her first Grammy for “Best New Artist”. “Best Pop Duo Performance” was given to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars for their song “Die with a Smile,”. Charli XCX also brought home 2 awards – “Von Dutch” won for “Best Pop Recording,” and her album “Brat” won “Best Dance/Electronic Album”. “Best R&B Song” was won by SZA for her song “Saturn” and the new artist Doechii won her first Grammy for “Best Rap Album” with “Alligator Bites Never Heal”.
