As 2026 begins, movie lovers have lots to look forward to. From highly anticipated sequels to rising directors, this year’s cinematic lineup promises something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re into action, comedy, sci-fi, or heartfelt drama, the film calendar is packed with releases that already have generated buzz. Here are five of the most anticipated movies coming in 2026: 

1. Crime 101 – February 13, 2026

An action-driven thriller follows a professional thief played by Chris Hemsworth planning one last big heist. In doing so, he gets tangled up with a hardened insurance broker ( Halle Berry) and a pursuing detective ( Mark Ruffalo ). As loyalties shift and secrets surface, the score becomes anything but simple.

2. Michael – April 24 – 2026
   Michael is a biographical musical drama that tells the story of Michael Jackson, one of the most influential entertainers in history, Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the film portrays Jackson’s journey from his early days as the gifted  young star of the Jackson 5 to his rise as the “King of Pop”. 

3. The Devil Wears Prada 2 – May 1, 2026

This comedy-drama sequel brings back Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs more than a decade after the original. Now navigating an era of digital fashion, influencers, and viral culture, Miranda returns to Runway and Andy must confront how much she’s changed since leaving the magazine world.

4. Toy Story 5 – June 19, 2026

The beloved Pixar characters return for another heartfelt adventure. With a new generation of children who prefer technology over toys, Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toy box crew must adapt, rediscover their purpose, and show that friendship still matters, no matter how much the world changes.

5. The Odyssey – Summer 2026

Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey follows legendary Greek hero Odysseus as he endures a long, perilous journey home after the Trojan War. Facing mythical challenges and incredible dangers, Matt Damon conquers the role as Odysseus attempts to reunite with his wife and kingdom.
