Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and with that can come the stress of choosing a perfect Mother’s Day gift. Gifts may be small and thoughtful, but they can also be a little more pricey if you want them to be. Let’s take a look at some Mother’s Day gift ideas.

Let’s start with the quick and easy gifts. These can be good for last minute gift ideas or even for small children to give to their moms! Flowers are always a good gift to get. They can be bought from a florist or, if you want, you can go to your local Trader Joe’s or any other store that sells flowers and make your own unique personalized bouquet. Here’s another quick yet heartfelt gift idea: if you are an artist (or even if you’re not), you can draw a picture or paint a picture of a place or a thing that connects the two of you!

For moms that wear jewelry, a small jewelry dish for her to put her jewelry into is another gift idea. Another cute but simple gift idea is a “100 Reasons Why I Love You” jar – you write affectionate notes to your mom on small pieces of paper, fold them up, and place them in the jar for your mom to read. Finally, one last quick present idea: if your mom loves chocolate, pick out chocolates for her that you think she would love!

Small but thoughtful gifts are loved by everyone, but they are especially loved by sentimental moms. A framed family photo is a great gift, and if you want to add to this you can all write her a note on the back of the frame, so every time that she looks at it she will be reminded how loved she is. You can also handmake jewelry if you are creative. You can get small gems or beads from Michael’s or Amazon and string them together with stretchy plastic string that is also sold at both Michaels and Amazon. If you would like to take your mom out instead of getting her a gift, you can go out for a coffee date or take her to a new restaurant for any meal of the day! If you know she likes a specific restaurant, you can take her there. You can also make a small gift basket or even a large gift basket full of all of her favorite things. You can fill it with her favorite snacks, gift cards, makeup, blankets, candles – really anything that would make her happy.

Lastly, if you want to go out and splurge on a nicer gift (maybe split it with siblings or someone else) you can get her a more expensive gift. Maybe a Coach purse (or any other designer brand that you know she likes) or even a nice wallet. Jewelry from companies like Pandora, Kendra Scott, or any other jewelry store are also really nice presents that mothers will love. You can personalize the necklace with your birth stone or if there are multiple children you can include all of the birth stones. Moms that workout would also love either a new workout set or an Oura ring that will track their sleep and activity during the day. Finally, if all else fails, you can get your mom a Spa day or pay for her nails to get done.
