2024 Grammy Awards Recap

The 66th annual Grammy Awards were held on Sunday, February 4th 2024. Many artists made history and some artists received their first ever Grammy awards. Many artists including Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo gave wonderful performances throughout the night. The most popular categories were Best New Album, Best New Artist, Best New Song, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best country Album. The night was a bittersweet event for some artists who lost, but the Grammy’s also changed many artists’ lives. Congratulations to all of the winners as well as to all of the nominees for making it this far. Here are some results in the major categories:

Best New Album:

Nominees: Midnights, SOS, World Music Radio, Endless Summer Vacation, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, GUTS, The Record, The Age of Pleasure

Winner: Midnights by Taylor Swift 

Best New Artist: 

Nominees: Victoria Monet, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Ice Spice, Fred Again, The War and Treaty, Coco Jones

Winner: Victoria Monet

Best New Song:

Nominees: What Was I Made For, Butterfly, Dance the Night, Anti-Hero, A&W, Vampire, Flowers, Kill Bill

Winner: What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish 

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: 

Nominees: Ghost in the Machine, Candy Necklace, Karma, Thousand Miles, Never Felt So Alone

Winners: Ghost in the Machine by SZA and Phoebe Bridgers 

Best Country Album:

Nominees: Bell Bottom Country, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, Brothers Osborne, Rustin’ in the Rain, Zach Bryan
